The importance of song lyrics

Hi music fan! ❤ I'm Gin. And I'm here to share my passion with you... Well, really I mean one of my many passions: MUSIC. Have you ever fallen in love with a song without understanding the lyrics?  It's a common experience. Great songwriters aim to create music from personal experiences that resonate with millions. This time, I want to share the importance of a song's lyrics, the explanations, the context, who it's dedicated to, the place, and the time. 🙈 In my opinion, all of these elements are resources that help us understand the true meaning of the music. They can change our perspective, our feelings, our thoughts, and can even relate to a situation we might be experiencing. It sounds fantastic, right? 😉 So, I will share one song each week and some details that you might not know... yet. I hope you enjoy this and, of course, learn interesting things with me, including new words and sentences. This is the way I love to practice a new language, through music .

"Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado

 Hello, music fan! ❤ I'm here for you. Have you ever faced a decision between maintaining your independence and falling in love, only to perhaps lose it? This week, let's talk about "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado.  The lyrics reflect an internal struggle between the desire for independence and the need for connection with another person. The song was written late at night, around four in the morning. Nelly and her team had been watching Pink Floyd's "The Wall" on a giant screen all day without sound, which seemed to influence her subconscious.  For the music video, the team went to a clothing store and picked out outfits that brought out Nelly's playful side. It was a fun and spontaneous approach that added a unique energy to the project.  This idea of doing something fun and crazy can apply not just to work or the music industry, but to many aspects of life.
